These programs democratize access to education and foster continuous learning, offering pathways for personal and professional growth to incarcerated individuals, enriching opportunities for retirees, and support for the region’s international population. English Language Programs English Language Programs (ELP), through Continuing & Professional Studies at WashU, are designed to strengthen and advance the English language capacities of those who speak English as an additional language, facilitating students’ and scholars’ academic and professional success at the university and beyond. More about ELP Osher Lifelong Learning Institute The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), through Continuing & Professional Studies at WashU, is a membership community designed for curious learners age 50+. Members enjoy a variety of peer-led classes exploring, arts, current events, literature and more. Discover OLLI Prison Education Project The Prison Education Project (PEP), through Continuing & Professional Studies at WashU, offers a college education to incarcerated students at the Missouri Eastern Correctional Center (MECC) in Pacific, MO, and the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center (WERDCC) in Vandalia, MO.
